WHAT IS EAT?

EAT is a Mobile APP cash back dining program that rewards its members for EATing In or Out.

EAT is made up of two of parts   – Cashback Dining and Fast-Food vouchering. 

Cash Back Dining  =  EAT  members can get up to R120 cash back paid into their bank account on their second most expensive meal providing 2 drinks are included when dining at Restaurants in the network.

If there is a party of 4 and another person is a member of EAT the 4th most expensive meal plus 4 drinks also qualify for up to R120 cash back

Fast Food Vouchers = Members of EAT will qualify to get vouchers for use at participating Steers, Burger King and Nandos’s nationwide.

HOW DO I PAY FOR ACCESS TO THE EAT APP?

Members pay a monthly subscription fee via debit order. You will gain access to all benefits within 1 business day of subscription.

WHAT DOES IT COST?

It costs R99 per month to belong to EAT.

WHAT IS THE VALUE OF THE VOUCHERS?

The Voucher values differ according to spend levels and are standard across the Fast-Food Outlets

Spend R150 or more and get a R30 voucher to use when buying your next purchase.

Spend R250 or more and get a R50 voucher to use when buying your next purchase.

CAN I USE A VOUCHER IN CONJUNCTION WITH ANOTHER SPECIAL?

Yes, as long as the minimum spend threshold is achieved.  R100 to qualify to redeem the R30 voucher and R150 to qualify to redeem the R50 voucher.

HOW LONG IS THE VOUCHER VALID FOR?

A voucher is valid for 30 days from date of issue.

WHAT FORMAT IS THE VOUCHER?

The voucher is electronic.

WHERE WILL I FIND MY VOUCHER?

The voucher code will be placed in “My Wallet” under vouchers and will be available for use against the next purchase.

HOW DO I QUALIFY FOR A VOUCHER AND HOW DO I CLAIM?
  • To qualify, the member will need to upload a picture of his/her receipt – They must select “My Deals” on the app and choose the store they visited.   A member will be required to select “start claim” and “upload their receipt.”
  • Their voucher code will be placed in “My Wallet” under vouchers and will be available for use against their next purchase.
  • The Members will receive a WiCode directly to their phone.
CAN I GET A VOUCHER IF A SPECIAL IS RUNNING?

Yes. Eligibility to receive or redeem a voucher is dependent upon spend thresholds and may differ according to the Fast-Food outlet.

WHAT IS THE TOTAL VAUE OF CASH BACK A MEMBER CAN RECEIVE IN A MONTH?

Members are eligible to receive up to R1000 cash back paid into their account in a calendar month.

IS THERE A LIMIT TO HOW MANY TIMES I EAT OUT?

No, but members can only receive a maximum of R1000 cash back in any given month.

HOW DOES IT WORK AND HOW DO I CLAIM?
  • Before dining, members of EAT simply choose their favourite restaurant on the Mobile App.
  • Once the meal is paid for, the member fills in the relevant dining details, takes a photo of the receipt and uploads it via the “Claims” portal on the EAT App.
  • The claim is validated, and the member receives cash back directly into their bank account within 5 business days.

 

CAN I GET CASH BACK IF A SPECIAL IS RUNNING?

No.  Cash Back is based on the restaurants standard published prices and cannot be used in conjunction with any special offers, promotions, discount vouchers or loyalty programs.

WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS TO BOOK A RESTAUTANT?

CAN SOMEONE ELSE USE MY EAT APP DINING CASHBACK BENEFIT?

Your EATAPP Dining Cashback benefit is not transferable. Only a registered member may utilise the benefit. Your claim may be denied should we suspect any fraudulent usage, and you may be removed from our program if any fraudulent behaviour is suspected.

CAN WE USE OUR EATAPP DINING CASHBACK BENEFIT IF THERE ARE A GROUP OF US AT THE TABLE?

Yes.

WHAT DO I DO IF I EXPERIENCE A PROBLEM USING MY BENEFIT AT A RESTAURANT?

Please do not escalate any queries at the restaurant. Please refer all queries to EAT APP Customer service department.

WHAT DO I DO IF I EXPERIENCE A PROBLEM WITH THE SERVICE/FOOD AT THE RESTAURANT?

EAT APP is unfortunately unable to accept responsibility for the quality of service and/ or meals at any of our dining partners. Furthermore, we do not become involved in any non-EAT APP related disputes between members and dining partners.

CAN I CLAIM ON TAKEAWAYS?

Yes, your benefit can be used when purchasing takeaways directly from a listed Restaurant, Fast-Food outlet or the third-party take away providers such as Mr D, Uber Eats, Bolt and Order In.

Note that the Restaurant/Fast-Food outlet must be listed on the  EAT APP in order to benefit.
